NEW LANDING PATHS
Ivry-sur-Seine, from the unsustainable Excessiveness to the Necessary Wild
This is my last student work called "New Landing Paths, Ivry-sur-Seine, From the Unsustainable Excessiveness to the Necessary Wild", presented the 7th of July in Versailles before a jury of three landscape architects and artist, one architect and a journalist.
This is about the waste incinerator in Ivry-sur-seine, and the way the authorities handle this probleme. Instead of using a mechanical-biological method wich costs 2 billions, the project proposes to decentralise the waste management in several places in Paris and the suburbs and to separate the organic waste from the rest. Every consumer is responsible of its rubbish and its action participate to create a brandnew organic material. This soil is mixed with the polluted old industry soil and an autonomous area is built on our own waste. It is an alternative solution to the current projects of refurbishment. It considers the waste industry as a potential deposit to generate a responsible, sustainable and dynamic land.
Déploiement concentrique de la ville, ce nuage sans limite nette flotte sur le territoire.
